Task Filters – More Enhanced & More useful

Introduction 

nTask is all about helping you get more done in as little time as possible. Finding a specific task out of all your work is often a tiresome and time-consuming process. That’s the reason nTask gives you the option to filter search tasks by your desired parameters. nTask also has the functionality of keeping your search parameters saved. This not only saves you time but also the energy of putting in all the parameters repeatedly. 

Pin Column 

This feature allows you to keep a column in view until you decide to unpin it on your Task Board. This is available to each column found in the Task List View. This way, you can easily manage your columns depending on your preference. 

To use this feature, follow the steps mentioned below: 

1. To pin a column, simply click on the three-bar icon found on the right side of the column title. Take note that you will only see the icon once you hover your cursor over the column title. 

2. Then, select ‘Pin Column’. 

3. From here, you can choose ‘No Pin’ or ‘Pin to Left’. 

Group By 

This filter allows you to group tasks according to your desired column—status, planned/actual dates, priority, project, progress, etc. By applying this feature, your tasks will automatically be rearranged according to the column you have chosen to apply this filter to. 

To use this feature, follow the steps mentioned below: 

1. To group your tasks, click on the three-bar icon found on the right side of the column title. Take note that you will only see the icon once you hover your cursor over the column title. 

2. Select ‘Group By (column title)’ to apply the filter 

3. Revert the changes by clicking on ‘Un-Group By (column title)

Auto-size Column 

This feature allows you to auto-size each column to fit its content on the text field in a single view.  

To apply this feature, follow the steps mentioned below:  

1. Click on the three-bar icon found on the right side of the column title. Take note that you will only see the icon once you hover your cursor over the column title. 

2. Choose ‘Auto-size This Column’ or ‘Auto-Size All Column’ to apply the filter 

Reset Columns 

This feature will allow you to simply cancel or reverse all the applied filters on all your columns. With just one click, you can put everything back to its original view setting. 

To use this feature, follow the steps mentioned below: 

1. Click on the three-bar icon found on the right side of the column title. Take note that you will only see the icon once you hover your cursor over the column title. 

2. Select ‘Reset Columns’ 

Search By 

This filter allows you to easily search for your tasks according to your desired column. 

To use this feature, simply click on the three-bar icon found on the right side of the column title. Then, select the funnel icon. The selection filter varies for each column.
